LAS VEGAS (Oct. 29, 2012)- Ford Racing stays on top of the seeding sessions in the first round of heats at the Global Rallycross Championship at the SEMA show. A total of 14 drivers competed in the first round. Ken Block sits in first place with title contender, Tanner Foust, finishing in close second.

Rockstar Energy Etnies Ford driver, Brian Deegan, finished first in heat 1D. “First day is done, battled though a lot of ups and downs, a few mechanical issues and ended up winning my heat race – took the win!! Tanner didn’t gain any more points on me so tomorrow it will be a battle!” stated Deegan. Reigning European Rallycross champ and Best Buy Ford Fiesta driver, Timur Timerzyanov, also finished first in heat 1C and will be paired with Foust in the second round of heats on Tuesday.

Gates open Tuesday at 3 p.m. with the second round of heats starting at 4:30 p.m. The Main event starts at 6:10 p.m. followed by the driver autograph session at 6:45 p.m. at the start line. Full race coverage can be seen live on ESPN2 and ESPN3 starting at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET.
