Toomas Heikkinen enters the next Global Rallycross race at Charlotte Motor Speedway with a series-record five-race winning streak. After taking his maiden victory in the second X Games Munich race, he added a second win at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, set a new record by winning at Bristol nine days later, and extended it with wins at X Games Los Angeles and Atlanta Motor Speedway on consecutive weekends.

But how does Heikkinen’s record winning streak stand up to similar streaks in other forms of motorsport? We’ve got the answer right here:

  • 7: Formula 1 (Alberto Ascari, 1952-53; Michael Schumacher, 2004)
  • 7: European Rallycross (Ron Snoeck, 2004)
  • 6: 24 Hours of Le Mans (Tom Kristensen, 2000-05)
  • 6: World Rally Championship (Sebastien Loeb, 2005; Loeb again, 2008-09)
  • 5: Global Rallycross (Toomas Heikkinen, 2013)
  • 4: NASCAR Cup, modern era (eight times)
