Stephan Verdier will return to Rhys Millen Racing for Sunday’s Sylvania SilverStar zXe Global Rallycross at The Dirt Track at Charlotte. Verdier will make his second start of the 2013 season, driving the #4 Rdio/Motegi Wheels Hyundai Veloster.

“I’m really excited,” said Verdier. “I definitely have some unfinished business with the Veloster, and we have the car 100%. We did some testing (on Thursday) and the car looks awesome. I think it’s going to be fun!”

Verdier has been a mainstay of Global Rallycross since its debut season in 2011, finishing fifth in points as a privateer that season and sixth with Millen’s team last year. In 15 career starts, he has four career podium finishes, a mark good for fifth all-time, and 143 points, seventh best in series history. Verdier’s lone start this season came at X Games Los Angeles in his 2011 vehicle, where he finished 12th.

Millen’s team has also been a part of GRC action from the series’ inception, campaigning Velosters for a talented rotation of drivers. Last season, both cars finished in the top six of series points, and led Hyundai to a second place finish in the GRC Manufacturer’s Championship. Millen fielded two cars for himself and David Sterckx at X Games Los Angeles, with Millen finishing fourth in the lead car.
